Defra and changing the Hunting Act
ORDER POSTCARDS FOR DEFRA HERE
We know that the Government plans to change the Hunting Act as it isn’t working. But some huge questions remain:
When?
How?
It is our job to keep the pressure on – to keep on asking the same questions, until we have a proper answer. How are we going to do that?
We have created postcards for the public to sign, and we will send them to Defra (the department responsible for creating and enacting the new law) in bulk. You can order a bunch of postcards from us – 20, for friends and family; 50 for the wider community or 200 (or more) to use on a street outreach.
Find out below how to use them below.
Using the cards
What do I do?
If you’re ordering 20 or 50 cards, just get them signed by as many people as possible, take them back in again, put them in an envelope (preferably with a covering letter) and send them to Defra:
Dame Angela Eagle
DEFRA
Seacole Building
2 Marsham Street
London
SW1P 4DF
If you have ordered a bunch of leaflets, you might want to stand in a street and ask passers-by to sign them You need good footfall. When a person passes by, say this:
“Hello! Would you like to fill in a postcard for Steve Reed MP at DEFRA?”
When they agree (and many do), hand them a pen and ask them to fill in their name and postcode.
Take the postcard in. Make sure you (or the passer-by) writes “Steve Reed” on the card.
Then what?
When you have collected enough postcards to make into a sensible package, put them in an envelope and send them here to the address above.
OR – Ask AAF to send a card for you
Fill in this quick form, and we will send a card to DEFRA on your behalf.
