Although we have provided a template below for one particular Freedom of Information request, there are numerous issues that the Warwickshire Police need to address, so please use this template as a starting point for any further FOI’s you wish to submit.
Freedom of Information - Police & their affiliation
In our quest to find out the truth about what’s really happening between the Warwickshire Hunt and the Warwickshire police we are questioning how many officers within this force, (regardless of status), are affiliated to local hunts. This is a valid question especially as the Warwickshire police are showing clear biase in favour of the Hunt.
We suspect that officers are protecting their own interests if they are linked to a Hunt, abusing positions of power and secretly lobbying for pro-hunt groups. How many other organised crime gangs do you know that are treated with preferential treatment by the very people who are meant to hold them to account?
It is time for the police to show the public honesty and respect and it starts right now.
The Freedom of Information Act requires that organisations respond to requests within 20 working days of receipt. We are aware that so far the Warwickshire Police have not been adhering to this and requests are being left unanswered. This is all the more reason to keep submitting them, they cannot continue to ignore us and hope this will blow over, it will not.
We have a template below that you can use, but we do strongly advise that whilst we are clear in our request for information, you make this letter personal to you.
All requests should be sent to the Police and Crime Commissioner at
Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner,
3 Northgate Street,
Warwick
CV34 4SP
