THE VALE OF WHITE HORSE HUNT DISEMBOWELLED a fox, Wed 7th. Wiltshire Rural Crime Team attended. Cotswold Hunt Sabs and Cirencester Illegal Hunt Watch have passed all footage and information to the police.

HEREFORDSHIRE HUNT SABS believe an injured hound found at the side of the A44 belonged to the Radnor and West Hereford Hunt. They also recovered the still warm body of a fox that had been killed by the Hunt. West Mercia Police did attend and the relevant footage has been passed over to them.

THE BLACKMORE AND SPARKFORD VALE HUNT were out after their three week (14 hunt days) suspension with a member of the British Hounds Sports Association with them to verify that they were trail hunting. The video of the repeated dangerous road chaos illustrates completely the futileness of the BSHA and its supposed authority, and the ridiculousness of the claim to be trail hunting. North Dorset Hunt Sabs page reads “Surely the Hunt are putting the BSHA in a very awkward position filmed blatantly hunting with a representative present.”

SUPPORTERS OF THE BURTON HUNT slashed a tyre on a Lincolnshire Hunt Sab vehicle. The same thugs attacked other sabs. One of the thugs had part of a billiard cue as a weapon and one tried to throw rocks.

HOUNDS BELONGING TO THE PYCHLEY AND WOODLAND HUNT WERE KILLED in a traffic accident on the A43. We believe that three hounds were killed, and that the road was closed for over an hour due to the incident. Northants Hunt Sabs received reports of the accident.

ISLE OF WIGHT HUNT SABS had to call police to a pub where they were having a drink because members of the Isle of Wight Foxhounds and their supporters had entered the pub and were attempting to intimidate them.

NOTTINGHAM HUNT SABS report for the second week running the South Notts Hunt hunted through a field of pregnant ewes. They describe the farmer as “incandescent”.

HunTS IN TROUBLE 

BEDS AND BUCKS HUNT SABS now firmly believe that the Oakley Hunt (a Bedfordshire Hunt) will fold at the end of this season. They have had a massive drop in subscriptions, no new Masters, lack of country to hunt in, and the sacking of the Hunt staff. The hunt and/or the Countryside Alliance will no doubt put some spin onto the closure, but it does look like they are in their death spiral.

PLYMOUTH AND WEST DEVON HUNT SABS, along with other sab groups, severely curtailed the activities of no fewer than four hunts on Saturday. (Spooners, Lamerton, South Tetcott, and Stevenstone.)

SEVERAL SCOTTISH SAB GROUPS are contributing to keeping the Jedburgh Hunt under pressure. They have had little luck hunting but continue to utilise unlicensed quads and thuggish riders.

THE LABOUR PARTY has said it will ban all hunting in its first term, should it win at the next general election. Maybe it will, or maybe it won’t, but it’s a good idea to make hunting an issue in the election as it is a pretty toxic issue for the public and Conservatives.

THE ESSEX AND SUFFOLK HUNT MASTERS are handing over the reins to the next hopeful hunters. It seems that this is another struggling hunt with a rapid turnover of staff.

A FORMER TERRIER MAN WITH THE BERWICKSHIRE AND FIFE HUNTS, Dylan Boyle, will appear in Kirkcaldy court on 28th of February. He has been filmed digging a badger sett, pulling a fox out, and shooting it twice. (The Fife Hunt now uses bloodhounds, but the Berwickkshire has recently been caught chasing a fox.)

She responded,  ‘There should be no secret agreements between the police and any organisations. I would ask the Chief Constable to review this and publish what is not operationally sensitive. Having seen footage of the hunt on 29th January, where there were allegations of criminal damage and road safety, I would use my position to ensure the police investigate and make sure complaints from all parties are taken seriously.” West Midlands Hunt Sabs and AAF Midlands are doing their utmost to bring this corruption between the PCC and the Chief Constable of Warwickshire into the public awareness.

THE EAST NORTHANTS HUNT SABS report that when the police were called by the Cambridge Hunt with Enfield Chace, “the police that attended were not taken by their nonsense and did not seem to be biased towards believing the hunt over the sabs, which was unexpected but very welcome.”  There was a second involvement with the same officers later in the day, and again the sabs reported that the officers were ‘reasonable’.

NORTH DORSET HUNT SABS report that they were pleased to see the Dorset Police in attendance when the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt were out on Saturday (24th). The sabs were assaulted by thugs, but the attendance of police stopped the violence from getting worse.

COTTESMORE HUNT VIOLENCE

LAST WEEK, the Cottesmore Hunt attempted to hunt without the thugs that attack and intimidate the sabs. Leicestershire Police had turned up in sufficient numbers to indicate they meant business. They needed to. The level of violence directed at the sabs in previous weeks was excessive.

THE MIRROR published a news report available on YouTube showing the violence and aggression of hunts, particularly the Cottesmore Hunt, and the inability of Police to control the thugs even when they are being violent and intimidating towards Sabs whilst the police are actually present.

CHESHIRE MONITORS report that the Rhug Estate owned by Lord Newborough invited the Wynnstay Hunt to hunt on foot on his estate. His promotional literature reads, “…by supporting wildlife and high animal welfare; Organic works with nature not against it, by protecting our soil, our wildlife and our world.
